OOKI have been operating from our Canberra base for over 3 years. In previous roles the directors at OOKI have gained significant experience in defining, designing and delivering large scale managed service solutions valued at multiple hundred million AUD. This managed service background was used to establish OOKI as a provider of high quality managed IT and Cloud solutions to selective clients.
OOKI have worked with Yless4u, a licensed telecommunications carrier, over the last couple of years to deliver network and Internet connectivity to commercial clients who could not easily be serviced by traditional telecommunications offerings.
Recently, OOKI restarted commissioning residential fixed wireless Internet services to rural and remote rural customers as an Internet Service Provider of Yless4u. OOKI offer an alternative to NBN Sky Muster satellite services and existing ADSL offerings over copper. In June 2017, OOKI acquired Yless4u, and continue to provide telecommunication carrier services as Yless4u.
OOKI is engaged with Snowy Monaro Regional Council for provision of public WiFi services to Jindabyne and Cooma. OOKI will build a high speed link between Canberra and Cooma to service larger organisations in the Snowy Monaro region. OOKI hope the network will then be extended to Bombala and Bega, connecting rural communities along the way.
On 1st July, OOKI will be launching fixed wireless Internet services in Tarago. OOKI have been granted access to re-purposed meteorological towers previously owned by NSW Department of Industry and donated, via the landowners, to be used as the primary towers for Tarago District. Tarago will be the first of 7 rural districts, identified by Goulburn Mulwaree Council, to be considered for OOKI Internet services.
